Day 16: Earthquake Barbecue...

I was going to call this South Asian Barbecue, but then not long after eating lunch, the biggest earthquake I've ever experienced hit the Ottawa area.

Yet again I have been disappointed by the quality of BBQ at Rib-Fest, so I hope you'll give this recipe a try and realize that great barbecue isn't some magical, unattainable thing. Great barbecue can be had for dinner, with a bit of work and knowledge.

“You work in Television? Why are you doing a food blog?”

I like to work in Television, but I NEED to eat. We all do. For that reason I am deeply passionate about food. If we have to do something several times a day, why not make it exciting, and fun!

I am here to dispel myths about cooking - that you need a lot of time - that you need to be a chef - that it’s too expensive. I am an example of that being completely false. I am totally self taught, and by hungrily seeking out knowledge, I have become prolific among those who have tried my food. I’m no super genius, I’ve just applied myself, and if I can do it, you can do it! The only thing stopping you is your desire.

Most of the recipes you find here are completely improvised. They start by my opening the fridge door and saying to myself, “I’m hungry, what have I got, and what can I do with it?”
